Srinagar, Oct 28 (GNS): There are no conditions for talks and whosoever wants to hold dialogue can approach Government of India’s newly appointed
interlocutor for J&K, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Ram Madhav said on Saturday.
Madhav, who was in Srinagar for chairing a top level meeting, said the Government of India appointed former IB Director Dineshwar Sharma as its representative so that he can talk to all leaders and groups in Kashmir. Asked whether those groups include Hurriyat as well, the BJP’s top leader said: “You should ask this question to Hurriyat.”
Madhav, who played a key role in forming PDP-BJP alliance government in J&K, said there are no conditions for talks with the GoI interlocutor. “He (Dineshwar Sharma) can to talk to anyone who comes forward. There is no condition,” he said, according to news agency GNS. When asked whether there would be talks with Pakistan, Madhav said at present the announcement was made only for Jammu and Kashmir dialogue.
The BJP leader lashed out at Congress and said whole nation and Kashmiri people are bearing brunt of the “mistakes” committed by the party and its leaders. Madhav added that they will seek advice from “well-wishers” of Jammu and Kashmir and move forward accordingly. (GNS)
