Jammu, Feb 7 (GNS): The state government on Wednesday said that Rs 30.15 lakhs were given as grant-in-aid 20 NGOs, one of them from outside state during 2016-17.
Replying to a question by MLA Engineer Rashid, Minister Social Welfare Department Sajjad Lone said that outside state registration SOS (save our Souls) Children village, Rehmat Abad Lane Hyderpora Srinagar was given 2.25 lacs as grant-in-aid during the period.
Regarding others, he according to GNS said Elite welfare Research Organization, Baramulla was given Rs 1.25 Lacs. J&K Rural Welfare Institute Dab Ganderbal 1.40 lacs, Al-Habib Foundation Chandpora Harwan, Srinagar 0.75 lacs, The Human Race, Amnoo, Kulgam Rs 1.00 lacs, Voluntary Organization on Environmental and Socio-Economic Planning (VOSEP) A.K.
