Srinagar,Aug 11: Youths of any country in the form of students are big hope to bring some positive changes in the environment full of pollution and global warming, a defence spokesman in a statement issued here said.
Small children with an objective to contribute in preserving and promoting the environment with help of Aragam Army camp conducted a tree plantation and conservation drive on Thrusday in which tree saplings were planted in various schools of the area, he said.
More than 100 students from various Government Schools actively participated in the event along with teachers. For this noble cause free saplings were provided by the forest department. In every school where the trees were planted, two students adopted one tree for conservation. To add more colour to the day “Shramdaan” was also done by children to keep their school clean and a “best out of waste” activity was also conducted in which students used waste material to showcase their creativity, he said.
