To control the use of plastic in our day to day life and to curb the unending use of polythene bags, the authorities must conduct regular raids in markets and issue strict warning to shopkeepers to desist from using such items. Such use is posing an alarming threat to the environment. The pollution control board has to crack whip on the erring traders and whosoever is found using the banned product as these pose serious risk to environment. Directions need to be passed to all the allied departments for ensuring the strict implementation of government order in this regard. Besides, creation of mass awareness about ill effects of non-biodegradable products is the need of the hour. To preserve the environment and health of people the concerned authorities should put in sincere efforts and guidelines and regulations have to be issued to facilitate proper recycling of plastic waste and reducing its impact on the ecology. By undertaking frequent market visits, strict action as per the law must be taken against those found violating the norms laid by government. This simple issue can be solved easily if there is a will but if neglected can lead to serious consequences. The general public also needs to follow the precautions while authorities must initiate measures to save the environment and ultimately the life.
