Medical,Veterinary camp organized at Binner, Baramulla
Srinagar, June 16: In order to provide medical aid to the needy population of far flung areas of Baramulla, a Medical cum Veterinary Camp was organised by
46 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion (SIKH). Medical team which included a lady doctor and a dental specialist under the Sadbhavana project treated a large number of needy patients from Binner, Venkara, Gujjar Pati, Bhatt Mohalla, Khan Mohalla and Sheikh Mohalla. Some special cases were also referred to Military Hospital for specialist treatment. Long queues of people could be seen at the medicine counter collecting free medicines for their ailments. Besides providing medical assistance to the people, a registration counter for enrolling amputees for artificial foot to be provided by Artificial Limp Centre, Jaipur was also established. A total of eleven personnel enrolled for the Jaipur foot Programme.
Medical Camp was a huge success in terms of the medical benefits provided to the much needy local population, who turned up in huge numbers with great enthusiasm to avail these facilities. Army Jawans could be seen helping and guiding people during the Camp. Local populace was highly appreciative and thankful to the Army and welcomed this gesture. Senior Army Officers were also present at ehe venue and interacted with the local people. The bonhomie between the locals and the Army personnel was worth witnessing.
