Srinagar, Feb 14: To provide basic medical aid and health consultancy to the villagers residing along the Line of Control, the Army organized a Medical Camp at Gohalan which is a border village in Uri Tehsil wherein more than 130 people from Gohalan and Jabla came forward and reaped the benefits of the Medical Camp. The team of Army Doctors treated the villagers and also provided free medication.
Also, to provide veterinary cover to the remote mohallas of Khadnyar, a Veterinary Camp was organised by the Army wherein a team of Veterinary Doctors treated large number of animals from Darangbal, Bhat, Garib Nawaz, Noor, Gosia Colony, Khaniyar, Banpura, Tarpura, Harpura, Gujjar Patti, New Coloy, Rather, Nazar and Sikh Mohallas.  In addition to free medicines, appropriate advice on how to take care of their animals was also rendered to the villagers. The Veterinary Camp was a huge success in terms of veterinary cover provided to the animals of the locals who had turned up with great enthusiasm to avail this facility.  The local populace was highly appreciative for this healing touch provided by the Army.
