KUPWARA, JUNE 20: GM Sheikh senior BJP leader and incharge Kashmir province today demanded immediate relief for the farmers whose crop has been hit by the hailstorm last week.
Expressing sympathies with the victims of the devastating hailstorm that struck upper kandi belt of Rajwar, Langate, Mawer, Lolab and other parts of the frontier Kupwara district.
Sheikh has asked the district administration to immediately assess the quantum of loss caused to the crops and fruits in the area so that case for ex-gratia relief is processed.
Sheikh also called for setting up a joint team of the officers of agriculture, horticulture and revenue departments to inspect all the affected areas and submit a comprehensive report to the government for compensation.
