Pays tribute to soldier 
Srinagar, June 9: The Defence minister Dr Subhash Bhamre today joined the Army at Badami Bagh Cantt, Srinagar in paying tributes to its soldier Rfn Tara Bahadur Roka who was killed on 8 June in Nowgam Sector of Kashmir during a counter infiltration operation in which three armed intruders were killed, a defence spokesman in a statement issued here said.
Lt Gen JS Sandhu, Chinar Corps Commander and all ranks paid homage to the slain trooper in a solemn ceremony which was also attended by officials from the other security agencies including the DGP, J&K.   Laying wreath on behalf of a proud nation, the Minister saluted the hero’s sacrifice and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family of the martyr who is survived by his parents, the statement said.
Born on 01 Jan 1994, the young braveheart from Dang, Nepal with barely two years of service was a very motivated soldier had impressed one and all with his vigour, courage and devotion to duty, the statement said.
he mortal remains of the martyr will be taken to Subathu in Himachal Pradesh for last rites with full military honours, the statement said.
