Srinagar, Oct 21: Government forces on Saturday afternoon launched a cordon-and-search operation at Munghama village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Official sources told GNS that a joint team of army’s 55 RR, SOG and CRPF laid a seige at village Munghama following specific inputs about the presence of some militants.
Soon after the joint team cordoned off the village, people mostly youth took to streets and started pelting stones on forces.
The para-military forces and police used tear smoke shells to disperse them.
