Srinagar, July 17: A capacity building tour organised for 29 teachers of Army Goodwill Schools from different parts of Kashmir Valley to Satya Bharti Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Sherpurkalan Ludhiana from 17 to 20 July 2017 was flagged off from Budgam by Brigadier Harbir Singh, a defence spokesman in a statement issued here said.
He addressed the teachers and reiterated the importance of education by emphasizing on the moral duty and responsibility of teachers to shape up the future of children by guiding them on the path of success and development for which it is imperative that the trainees themselves are trained to impart knowledge in a more scientific and innovative way so as to make the process of education more interesting and easily acceptable for today’s youth, he said.
The teachers will be returning after a three day tour to Sherpurkalan, Ludhiana and the flagging in ceremony is scheduled on 22/23 July 2017. Enroute they will also get an opportunity to visit Science City, Kapurthala which is a famous visiting spot for people wherein they will get to educate themselves with the latest in Science and Technology. This will certainly help in shaping up the personality of these teachers and broaden their horizon, he said.
