SRINAGAR, JUNE 20: A high level visiting delegation from the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi called on the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh here today.
The delegation was led by Gillian Frost, Councilor and Head, Political and Economic Programme and Garry Anderson.
The Deputy Chief Minister discussed several issues with the delegation related to the initiatives taken by the State Government in economic, political and developmental fronts. He also informed them about the measures being taken for ensuring transparent and accountable administration in the State.
Dr. Singh also discussed various security related issued and said that since terrorism is affecting every country and has become the menace of present day civilization therefore concrete measures need to be taken to eradicate it. He said that the countries of the globe should come together and devise a foolproof mechanism to ensure that the threat of terrorism is dealt so that it gets wiped out.
