Srinagar, Oct 9: President All J&K Junior Scale KAS Association (AJJKSA), Dr Mohammad Usman Khan, called on Chief Secretary during the open hour one-to-one interactive session held at civil Secretariat Srinagar. During the session the President raised various issues pertaining to the services pertaining to Junior KAS officers of the state which included the Rotation of the officers from one department to another, Promotion prospects, Time Bound/Running grade promotion in favour of the officers, Pay anomaly/disparities in salary of officers and release of non-functional selection grade.
The President stressed for immediate rotation of the eligible officers and also requested the Chief Secretary for the formulation of a comprehensive policy on Rotation of the officers which will be a permanent remedy of this issue in future. He also raised the issue of promotion of the eligible officers into time scale of KAS as sufficient number of posts are lying vacant and stressed for issuing necessary directions to the GAD for expediting the matter. The issue of immediate release of nonfunctional selection grade was also raised and discussion was also held on Time bound/Running grade and pay anomaly/Salary at par with other similarly situated services.
The Chief Secretary was appraised that the AJJSKA comprises of more than five hundred Officers delivering their services in every corner of the state. “These officers being dedicated are providing full support to work culture besides mitigating troubles of the common man and putting a great effort in eradicating the corruption from the present working system. These officers need motivation and encouragement and it can be met only by fulfilling their genuine demands,” the president expressed.
The Chief Secretary after giving a patient hearing extended his positive approach and he assured that these issues will be immediately resolved especially the Rotation, Promotion prospects, Nonfunctional selection grade and Running grade in favour of officers.
He said that these young officers are undoubtedly putting their best to serve the people with great zeal and zest and the issues raised before him are quite genuine which need to be given priority.
